Part of the BlueLevel group of companies, BlueLevel Hosting offers a secure and reliable hosting platform.

Our servers are located in 3 locations.

Our primary server farm is co-located at Telecity Redbus Data Centre in Docklands, London.

Networking

Through our service provider, Connexions 4 London, we have 2x 2MBs transit connection into their comprehensive 50GBps+ core network via CISCO 6500 hardware.

The servers are fronted by SonicWall Pro230 firewalls to provide a frontline security role against hackers/attacks and to also provide VPN connections into our head office in Rempstone and connections between sites. As well as the SonicWall we also use a Barracuda spam firewall in front of our mail servers to filter all email traffic.

Availability

All our servers have RAID controllers mirroring data to provide a layer of redundancy in the event of a disk failure.

Our backup strategy includes daily incremental backups of all server data to our main fileserver at our office in Rempstone where the data is duplicated again onto removable media for secure offsite storage. Sites are mirrored at periods throughout the day onto the redundant hardware.

A high-availability approach has been taken to ensure that in the event of any hardware failure, services will automatically fail-over to balanced/redundant hardware spanning multiple sites causing minimal downtime.

Service monitors are used to verify service uptime and notify of us of problems before our customers notice them.
